Jello Preparation
- Dissolve lime Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved, then mix in 1 cup of cold water. Pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch dish and refrigerate for 1 hour, or until fully set.
- Dissolve cherry or strawberry Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir in 1 cup of cold water and let it cool slightly. Slowly pour it over the cream layer and chill for 2 hours or until everything is nicely firm.
Cream Layer Preparation
- Bloom the unflavored gelatin by sprinkling it over ¼ cup of cold water. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes. Then, mix in ¾ cup of boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved.
- Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the gelatin mixture and blend until well combined. Then, gently fold in the whipped topping until it's all beautifully mixed.
- Spread the cream layer carefully over the set green Jello. Return it to the refrigerator for another hour until this layer is nice and firm.
Final Touch
- Cut the layered Jello into squares and add your choice of optional garnishes before serving.
