Method
 

How to Make Hard Boiled Eggs
  1. Arrange eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.
  2. Submerge eggs with cold water until they're covered by at least 1 inch.
  3. Heat the water over medium-high heat until it comes to a rolling boil.
  4. Turn off the heat once the water is boiling, then cover the pot with a lid.
  5. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 to 12 minutes.
  6. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  7. Peel the eggs gently under running water.
