How to Make Hard Boiled Eggs
- Arrange eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.
- Submerge eggs with cold water until they're covered by at least 1 inch.
- Heat the water over medium-high heat until it comes to a rolling boil.
- Turn off the heat once the water is boiling, then cover the pot with a lid.
- Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
- Peel the eggs gently under running water.
