How to Make Honey BBQ Chicken Rice
  1. Season the chicken by sprinkling garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper all over.
  2. Sear the chicken in a skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side until it’s beautifully browned.
  3. Toast the uncooked rice in the same pan for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chicken broth, BBQ sauce, and honey; bring to a light boil.
  5. Nestle the seared chicken back into the pan, gently placing it among the rice mixture.
  6. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer on low for 15 minutes.
  7. Add the mixed vegetables on top, cover again, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice gently with a fork.
  9. Garnish the dish with chopped green onions or parsley and serve hot.
