How to Make Honey BBQ Chicken Rice
- Season the chicken by sprinkling garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper all over.
- Sear the chicken in a skillet over medium heat for 3β4 minutes per side until itβs beautifully browned.
- Toast the uncooked rice in the same pan for 1β2 minutes.
- Stir in the chicken broth, BBQ sauce, and honey; bring to a light boil.
- Nestle the seared chicken back into the pan, gently placing it among the rice mixture.
- Cover the pan with a lid and simmer on low for 15 minutes.
- Add the mixed vegetables on top, cover again, and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice gently with a fork.
- Garnish the dish with chopped green onions or parsley and serve hot.
