How to Make Korean Ground Beef Bowl
- Rinse 1 cup of rice in a fine mesh strainer, then combine it with 2 cups of water in a pot. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, and let it cook for about 15 minutes until fluffy and tender.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef for about 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart as it browns.
- If there's excess fat in the skillet, drain it. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped green onions. Season with salt and pepper, then let it simmer briefly to blend flavors.
- Place a scoop of rice in each bowl, top with the beef mixture, and add any optional veggies or a fried egg. Finish with sesame seeds and extra green onions.
