How to Make Korean Ground Beef Bowl
  1. Rinse 1 cup of rice in a fine mesh strainer, then combine it with 2 cups of water in a pot. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, and let it cook for about 15 minutes until fluffy and tender.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef for about 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart as it browns.
  3. If there's excess fat in the skillet, drain it. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped green onions. Season with salt and pepper, then let it simmer briefly to blend flavors.
  5. Place a scoop of rice in each bowl, top with the beef mixture, and add any optional veggies or a fried egg. Finish with sesame seeds and extra green onions.
