How to Make Maple Glazed Donuts
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with nonstick spray or melted butter.
- Whisk together the dry ingredients in a medium bowl: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Combine the wet ingredients in a large bowl, whisking together brown sugar, egg, milk, sour cream, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth and creamy.
- Stir the dry ingredients gradually into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut pan, filling each mold about ⅔ full.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the donuts spring back when touched lightly.
- Cool the donuts in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Melt butter and maple syrup together in a saucepan over medium heat until warm and fragrant.
- Stir in powdered sugar off the heat until the glaze is smooth and pourable.
- Dip the tops of each donut into the glaze and return them to the rack, allowing the glaze to set for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
Optional: Top with chopped nuts or chocolate sprinkles for a fun addition. Measure your flour accurately to avoid dense donuts.
