How to Make Oven Baked Chicken Thighs
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and place a foil-lined, rimmed baking sheet inside.
  2. Combine olive oil and all seasonings in a large bowl to create a flavorful paste.
  3. Coat the chicken thighs in batches with the seasoning paste.
  4. Transfer the hot, prepared pan from the oven and place your seasoned chicken thighs skin side up.
  5. Dot with diced butter, if using, for extra richness.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes and baste with the juices from the pan.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes.
  8. Baste again, then finish baking for an additional 5–15 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Broil for 1–2 minutes, if desired, to achieve crispy, golden skin.
