Cooking Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Optional: Brown the chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
- Mix together the long-grain white rice, chicken broth, lemon juice, thyme, and oregano in a bowl.
- Pour the rice mixture over the seasoned chicken in the slow cooker.
- Top with slices of lemon.
- Cover and set to cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
- Check chicken’s internal temperature about 30 minutes before serving; it should reach 165°F.
- Remove chicken and fluff the rice with a fork, adjusting seasoning if necessary.
- Serve chicken whole or shredded over rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
