Prepare the Oats Base
- In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, chia seeds, vanilla extract, and maple syrup. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
- Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes. This allows the chia seeds to absorb some liquid and thicken the oats.
- Divide the oat mixture evenly into four mason jars or airtight containers.
Prepare the Matcha Layer
- In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with hot water until smooth and fully dissolved. This prevents clumps in your overnight oats.
- Layer the matcha mixture on top of the oats in each jar, creating a beautiful green layer.
Refrigerate
- Seal the jars with lids and place them in the refrigerator. Allow the oats to soak overnight (or at least 4 hours) for the best texture and flavor.
Serve
- In the morning, remove the jars from the refrigerator. Top each serving with fresh berries, banana slices, and a dollop of nut butter.
